ERASMUS+
Erasmus+ gives students an opportunity to study for a period of 3 to 12 months at a university or higher education institution in another participating country with in the framework of arrangements between the universities. Erasmus+ is the result of the integration of the following European programs: Lifelong Learning (Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius, Grundtvig), Youth in Action and international cooperation programs (Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink and programs of cooperation with industrialized countries in the field of higher education).

Information for incoming students
Currently the Comenius University, Faculty of Medicine offers two main undergraduate study programmes, Dentistry and General Medicine, both in Slovak or in English language.
First to third year´s courses provide theoretical and pre-clinical lectures, labs and practical classes, the remainder from the fourth to sixth years include diverse clinical experiences.
The clinical courses can be chosen just according to the study years and the schedules.

AFTER RECEIVING THE CONFIRMATION FOR ERASMUS+ STUDY AT COMENIUS UNIVERSITY:
- uploading Learning Agreement -to fill in Learning Agreement - please use the Learning Agreement issued by your home University (obligatory)
- Confirmation about payment for Student University Identification Card - 10,00€ or if you choose International Student Identification Card (ISIC) -20,00€
ACCOMMODATION:
Mlyny dormitories provides accommodation for Slovak and international students attending the Comenius University. More information and instructions concerning the accommodation procedure at Mlyny can be found on the their webpage.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Foreign students have to show good proficiency in English (or any language in which courses are offered) both in spoken and written form.
Comenius University in Bratislava offers to all Erasmus students a Slovak language course.

Prior to your departure you have:
- to arrange your health insurance
- to inform our Erasmus officer of the date of your arrival
Upon your arrival in Bratislava you have:
- to register next day in the Foreign Relations Office of Medical Faculty:

- certificate of accomodation (issued by the students dormitory)

Before your departure from Bratislava at the end of your study stay at CU Medical faculty you have to inform early enough our Erasmus officer:
- of the Certificate you need for your home university
- of the date of your departure
Please be informed that classes and clinical practice are compulsory. You are obliged to participate at each one in order to pass the course. Late arrival to classes or clinical practice is not accepted.

Student Mobility - study (SMS)
Erasmus+ is a program of the European Union (EU) which support projects in the fields of education and science. Erasmus+ is the European Commission's exchange program that enables students in 33 European countries to study, work or teach for part of their degree in another country.

Terms of the foreign study stay in the scope of Erasmus+ programme:
- selection in the competition and finished 3rd year at CUFM (General Medicine and Dentistry)
- programme and content of the study at host university should be equal with the programe and with the content of the 4th or 5th year at CUFM in Bratislava. Student is obligatory to choose courses abroad the way to be able to continue the studies at CUFM after his/her arrival.
- CUFM is responsible for the enrollment of the student to the host university
- CUFM is not responsible for the accommodation, for the board money, nor health insurance during the study stay abroad
- EU grant is just supporting grant and does not cover all the expenses of the student abroad
- Competition commitee is named by Dean of CUFM. Committee defines the succesion of the students according to the results of the competition.
- Competition is just for the students of CUFM in Bratislava which have been duly enrolled and:
- have to be at least in 3rd year of full time study (GM or Dentistry)
- will show the ability to speak the language of the host country or english language (by certificate, test)
- study average of all the finished study years should be to 2.0.
- activities in the students organizations connected to CUFM, or in the other ones is necessary to document by the signature of the head of the organization.

Student Mobility - Traineeship (SMT)
Traineeship represents a period of at least 2 months spent by a student in a hospital or another organization located in a country authorized within the Erasmus+ program.
The goal is to acquire professional and practical skills and to better understand the economic and social conditions in the host country.
