ERASMUS+
ERASMUS+ at FMED CU
FMED CU in cooperation with the Department of International Relations of the Comenius University offers its students one-semester or one-year study stays and practical internships through the Erasmus+ programme.
Erasmus+ programme is financed from EU resources. The aim of the programme is to improve the skills and employability of young people and to modernize education, training and youth work, but also to support transnational partnerships between educational institutions and organisations.

What is Erasmus+ programme?

Erasmus+ programme is an EU program that is primarily aimed at supporting education, vocational training, youth and sports in Europe by strengthening skills, employability and supporting the modernization of education, vocational training and youth work systems.
Erasmus+ programme currently combines all existing EU programs that were originally intended for education, vocational training, youth and sport, including the Lifelong Learning Program (LLP Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius, Grundtvig), the Youth in Action program, as well as five other international cooperation programs (Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink and Program for cooperation with industrialized countries).
It supports the priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan and the Skills Program for Europe. Furthermore, the program mainly serves to:
- support for the European pillar of social rights,
- performance of the EU youth strategy for the years 2019-2027,
- development of the European dimension in sports.
The programme for the years 2021-2027 places a strong emphasis on social inclusion, green and digital transformation and support for young people's participation in democratic life.
The budget of the entire programme is approximately EUR 26.2 billion, in comparison with the previous programme (2014-2020), this is an almost double increase in these funds.
