Admission process

Admission Fee for the application process is 95 €.
If the applicant applies for both study programmes, the admission fee must be paid for each application. 
The admission fee is partly refundable - 80 € will be sent back only if applicant sends a written withdrawal from the application process via email by the date of deadline of registration.

Please do not pay twice even if there is a note ´unpaid´in the system.

The preparatory course will be carried out in an online form (on MS Teams) consisting of 4 blocks on Saturdays. It will take place before each entrance examination.

The subject matter will be chosen topics from :

• chemistry (general chemistry, reactions of organic compounds, metabolism)
• biology (cell, molecular biology, genetics, physiology, anatomy)

Recommended literature: 

• Catch Up Biology, 2nd edition: For the Medical Sciences by Philip Bradley and Jane Calvert
• Catch Up Chemistry, 2nd edition: For the Life and Medical Sciences by Mitch Fry and Elizabeth Page
• BOOKLETS (preparatory material) 

COURSE LENGTH: 

• each subject consists of 4 sessions
• one session lasting up to 4 hours (3 hours lecture + 1 hour dedicated to entrance examination test questions)

The faculty reserves the right not to open the course in case of low interest.

An applicant has to attach following documents to their application online (we require only ONLINE application form with attached documents, no need to print anything):

1. A passport scan (for EU citizens ID card is sufficient)

- scan of the page with photo and personal details

2. A scan of the Secondary Education Diploma/Certificate.

- if you do not have the diploma/certificate yet, you can provide us with an official letter from your high school stating your full name, surname, date of birth, the date of your graduation and date of receiving of your High School Diploma.  We accept certificates and letters in English or Slovak language.

3. A scan of Certificate of Medical Fitness (Certificate of Eligibility to Study)

A note issued by your doctor confirming that you are able to study at a medical university. We accept certificates in English or Slovak  language The certificate must be legible, signed and stamped by the doctor. There is no prescribed format for the Certificate of Fitness, you can use one issued by your doctor. This is an example you can provide us with : Certificate of Eligibility to Study

4. Proof of admission fee payment. 

When making the bank transfer, please ensure that you provide your full name as it appears in your application in the payee reference field, so that we can allocate the payment correctly.

5. Proof of vaccination against Hepatitis B.

Either a confirmation from the doctor or a scan of the vaccination card is sufficient (in English or Slovak language). It is necessary that the scan has your name and date of birth on it.

6. Special needs

In case you have special needs, please provide us with the confirmation from the doctor.

All required documents have to be submitted to the online application until the respective registration deadline for your chosen entrance exam date. Otherwise the applicant shall not be registered for EE.

• The list of required documents is mandatory for Slovak applicants also.
• We do not require English language proficiency certificate.
